CNIADV has developed two test plans—one for software capable of bidirectional exchange and one for software not capable of bidirectional exchange. EHR and other clinical software vendors should consider using these test plans and the test scripts and methods included therein to evaluate their products’ ability to meet the immunization-related software capabilities. Clinicians and other providers may use this information to help evaluate differences among clinical software products and to identify topics they should discuss with their software vendors.
